What is NEET PG?

NEET PG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Post Graduate) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses in India. It is mandatory for MBBS graduates seeking postgraduate medical education.

Eligibility Criteria

  • MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the NMC.
  • Completion of 12-month rotatory internship on or before the cut-off date.
  • Valid permanent or provisional registration certificate from NMC/SMC.

Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Computer-based test (CBT)
  • Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes
  • Total Questions: 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs)
  • Marking Scheme: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect
