The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET-UG 2025 exam on 4th May 2025 in offline mode (pen and paper-based). This prestigious national-level medical entrance exam is essential for gaining admission to MBBS and BDS programs in India.
NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the only entrance exam for admission into medical and dental colleges across India. It determines admission based on performance and rank, and is mandatory for MBBS and BDS programs.
NEET 2025 will have a total of 180 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology), each carrying 4 marks. The duration will be 3 hours and 20 minutes.

To appear for NEET 2025, candidates must be at least 17 years old by 31st December 2025 and must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English with a minimum of 50% (General) or 40% (SC/ST/OBC).

Candidates must apply online through the official NTA NEET website. Use only your own or your guardian’s email ID and mobile number. Fill only one application form and follow the official instructions carefully.
In NEET 2024, the qualifying score was 138 for General and 108 for SC/ST/OBC. Cutoff may change in 2025 depending on exam difficulty and competition.
NEET replaced AIPMT in 2013 as a single-window medical entrance test. After opposition from states, it was halted and later reinstated in 2016 following Supreme Court approval. NEET has been mandatory for MBBS/BDS admissions ever since.
